After Wax Care

You will get the best waxing results by waxing regularly.  Exfoliating and moisturizing is key to healthy skin and ingrown hair prevention.  After a wax service please allow your skin to rest for at least 24 hours.  Avoid touching the area that has just been waxed (especially the face) to help prevent blemishes, bumps and irritations.  With regular waxing, hairs will become thinner and more sparse resulting in less hair and happy skin.

Also keep in mind that waxing is a very effective skin exfoliant and your skin can burn more easily.  The sun can also discolor your freshly waxed skin, especially if you are taking hormone supplements.  So plan accordingly with your wax service and sun exposure.

For the first 24 hours after a wax, please remember :

NO SUN • Tanning & Sun Exposure

NO SOAKS  •  Swimming & Baths

NO SWEAT • Exercise & Running

NO SEX • After a bikini wax

When to reschedule :

BROW TINTING • 3 – 6 WEEKS

FACE  &  UNDERARMS • 2 – 4 WEEKS

LEGS  &  BIKINI • 3 – 5 WEEKS

BACK  &  SHOULDERS • 3 – 6 WEEKS

Some additional suggestions for your skin care after a wax are :

•  Apply an after-wax skin care product.  Your esthetician may have some wonderful options and ideas to help you find the right one for your specific needs.

•  Gently exfoliate the skin starting about a week after a wax, 1-2 times a week.  Exfoliating gloves/mitts or body brushes can be great options.

•  Use natural and organic soaps and moisturizers, and avoid heavily scented skin care products and body washes.

•  Epsom salt bath soaks lasting 15-20 minutes, starting at least three days after a wax, can help detoxify the skin.

•  Avoid picking, pinching, extracting or tweezing ingrown hairs.

•  After a workout, shower and/or change into clean dry clothes.
